About Jesse Giordano

From a young age, Writing has been my calling. I can remember telling my middle-school guidance councilor that I wanted to be a writer, a fact he reminds me of whenever I see him. But not just any writer. A communicator, a story-teller, someone who could paint vast worlds and crystallize foreign concepts in readers minds. To be someone who can convey an experience to someone else as if they themselves were in those shoes. This was reinforced on my experience in customer service, where communication and understanding are key. As I worked my way through nearly 10 years of retail and customer service, I found that the barrier of communication was front and center. During my undergraduate studies, I focused on understanding what makes a good writer, but also what makes someone a good communicator as well. Practiced in every form I could be exposed to, from screenwriting to poetry. Dissected where language comes from, and how we attach meaning to those things. This was crucial to my understanding of stories and why we tell them, and has influenced they way I tell mine. All of these things contributed to the writer I am today. However, if there is one thing I know for certain, it's that the learning never stops. We are constantly evolving the ways we think and the ways we speak, that is what makes humanity great, our adaptability in the face of the unknown. So stay awhile, and listen. And then, you can tell me one of your stories as well. Resume available upon request.
