My Passion is my commitment to do all that I can to give back and share what I've learned through my experiences. My Purpose is to motivate, inspire and challenge others to broaden horizons. The accomplishment will be helping and meeting the needs of others through connections made in my life path. As a Childhood Blood Cancer Survivor (45 years), I'm very passionate about the fight against cancer! In 2011, I founded the Blue Horizons Fund at Dell Children's. I believe that there is “Hope on the Horizon” and I will do whatever it takes to Help Other People Endure (HOPE). I’ve had many friends and family members that have been affected by cancer & blood disorders, some who survived and some who lost the battle. Everything I do that involves cancer & blood disorders is in honor and memory of all that have been affected. Soccer experience: I enjoy my experience as a Player (37+ years) and as a Coach (17 years). I coach because of passion I have for helping athletes and the game of soccer. There is no better feeling than teaching an athlete the importance of discipline, hard work, effort, dedication, determination and the heart it takes to win not only in sports but in life. Only by the grace of God have I been able to accomplish what I have through playing & coaching soccer. My dream in life was to be a paid Professional Soccer Player. I was fortunate to have opportunities playing in Semi-Professional leagues and tournaments. When my pro soccer dream was not achieved, I realized that my own dreams is not what life is all about. My purpose in life was not to make it as a pro soccer player and score goals. God put me on this earth for something much bigger than that and I understand what my purpose is. It's my prayer and my hope that I can live out the rest of my life honoring God and help as many people as possible on and off the field.
