About Jesse Kielthy

I am a qualified Telecommunications Engineer, having graduated with honours from DCU in 2002. Following that, I completed a two-year MSc in Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT). I have a PG Cert in Energy Management, which covers all aspects of energy e.g. sustainability, alternative energy supply technologies, energy purchasing, etc. From September 2004 until September 2006, I worked as a Technical Training Consultant with Ericsson, teaching mobile technology courses to Ericsson staff and customers worldwide. From September 2006 to December 2008, I worked as a Senior Core Operations engineer with O2 providing third line, on-call support to O2's packet core network to ensure high-availability of services for customers and staff. From January 2009 I did research in the area of autonomic networks and was investigating opportunities in ICT and the Smart Grid and was lead researcher and technical manager (for TSSG) for trials that helped develop an Optimisation System that enabled Utility operators to make end-user demand track volatile renewable energy supply. In May 2014, I joined Sun Life Financial as a Learning & Development (L&D) consultant supporting clients with their professional and personal development goals. In March 2020, I started a rotation with the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) team to support the scope, design and initiation of IT projects. This became permanent in early 2022 where I assumed a role as Lead Product Manager, which entails partnering with Clients in an Agile way to manage and prioritize workload and drive opportunities as part of Sun Life's Digital Enterprise (DE) initiative.
