About Jesse McCarron

Jesse A. McCarron received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. He completed his Orthopaedic residency at George Washington University in 2006. He received further subspecialty training in reconstructive shoulder surgery at The Cleveland Clinic in 2006, and was appointed to their faculty in 2007. In 2008, he become Section Head for the Shoulder Service at The Cleveland Clinic. In 2010 Dr. McCarron returned to his hometown of Portland, Oregon, where he took an academic appointment at Oregon Health and Science University and became Section Chief for Orthopaedic Surgery at the Portland VA Medical Center. In 2016 Dr, McCarron left the Portland VA to join the Rebound Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery group based in the Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. For more than a decade, Dr. McCarron’s research activities have focused on rotator cuff pathophysiology, rotator cuff healing, rotator cuff biomechanics and repair strategies. This work includes 12 original peer reviewed publications, 3 review articles and 5 book chapters. Dr. McCarron is an active member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Association of Clinical Elbow and Shoulder Surgeons, the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Western Orthopaedic Association. Jesse McCarron is also a co-founder, and member-manager of Langley/McCarron Technologies, LLC.
