About Jesse Reff

I’m a hands-on, adaptable professional with a diverse background in municipal services, construction, healthcare, nuclear energy support, and now freight railroading with Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC).From electrical maintenance, to parks and recreation with the City of Peterborough, heavy civil construction with B.B.T. Construction, and supporting critical systems at Ontario Power Generation, I’ve built a strong foundation in electrical systems, building trades, rigorous safety protocols, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. As a Freight Conductor at CPKC, I apply that same work ethic and problem-solving mindset every shift: performing precise train inspections, executing safe switching operations, handling hazardous materials under GCOR/CROR and Transport Canada regulations, and maintaining clear communication in high-pressure, 24/7 environments. The rail industry has sharpened my situational awareness, decision-making under pressure, and ability to master complex rules and procedures quickly; skills I’m proud to bring to any role.Whether diagnosing issues on-site, coordinating logistics, or keeping safety and efficiency first, I take pride in delivering quality work and adapting fast to any challenge.Currently a Conductor at CPKC and always open to the right next opportunity where I can keep growing, contribute meaningfully, and make a real impact; especially in the trades, public service, technical fields, or transportation/logistics.
