I have worked in various aspects of Information Technology/Telecommunications and Sales and Marketing for my entire career beginning in the US Army. I formed a small telecommunications contracting company in South Carolina in 1994. We benefitted mightily from the Internet boom of the mid 90's. From there I worked in various aspects of IT, Sales and Marketing. On the recommendation of a good friend, Paul Leas, I accepted a position with Pioneer Machinery's Ironmart Store, in Lexington, SC (now owned by Blanchard CAT). Starting in June of 2005 my duties included the marketing of heavy forestry equipment to an international clientele. During my tenure we automated our online ad distribution system and created a single database for all of our machine inspection data, photos and inventory. We also redesigned the website and launched an SEO campaign that was very successful. In May of 2010 I formed a new Company along with Brian Nielson and Paul Leas. Forestry First grew slowly into one of the largest independent, used forestry equipment dealers in the world, with customers in over fifty countries. In January of 2020 I started work with Flint Equipment Company as Used Forestry Sales Manager. Flint has since been purchased by Dobbs Equipment Company. Currently, I am the Forestry Used Equipment Manager for Dobbs Southeast.
