About Jesse Snavlin

With over fifteen years of experience in the combined hospitality, professional services, publishing, operations, and customer service industries, I've developed key skills in flexibility, communication, organization, task responsiveness and team commitment. I've been able to seamlessly work my personality into dive-bars and fine dining, classrooms and academic conferences, admin desks and lecture halls, and know that no matter where I stand, I will be an asset to those who rely on me. I've discovered over my years of working with people that although an introvert, I find calculable satisfaction in measurable goals and obtainable successes. These can be as little as performing excellent cocktail preparation consistently and with a smile to as large as redesigning the double-blind submission requirements for my first undergraduate's literary magazine. Repetitive tasks are tasks that I can be perfect at, and novel tasks allow me to showcase my problem-solving acumen. Recently, I've begun an online course in Botany with Oregon State University as well as substitute teaching for North Clackamas School District. The additional instruction in STEM along with the myriad challenges and excitements of student-teacher interaction has only furthered my ability to communicate objectively, clearly, and with compassion to all walks of life. The project management talents I acquired while running my own comic book press-acquiring talents, setting and maintaining deadlines, supporting teams, supplying necessary documentation and transferring information on an as-needed basis between teams, updating calendars and maintaining source materials-have translated well into these new ventures.
