About Jesse Verbunt

My name is Jesse Verbunt and I am a Forensic Chemist with many ambitions. In march 2019 I started a new forensic adventure at the Dutch Police where I work as an Operational Specialist. In August 2018 I graduated at the University of Amsterdam where I obtained a MSc of the Master's program Forensic Science of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies. Before this I got my BSc (ing.) in Chemistry at Avans University of Applied Sciences. For my masters, I did an internship at the Netherlands Forensic Institute, performing research on the prevalence and the IC-MS analysis of inorganic explosives. For my bachelor I did internships at the Forensics Department of the Dutch National Police in Tilburg, MMC International Breda, and at the Eindhoven University of Technology. During my education at Avans, I taught Chemistry and Physics at the HAVO and VWO of Mgr. Frencken College in Oosterhout, where I also worked as an Education developer for the new interdisciplinary subject Future Science. The combination of education, science and my young age of 19 years at the time I started, made the time in Oosterhout one to remember for ever. Futher, I started my own business in design and PR, Devoted Designs, in 2015, and work as chairman for the non-profit (socialwork) event organization the Gentlemen of Dongen.
