About Jesse Wideman

Jesse is a May 2016 graduate of the Darla Moore School of Business in Columbia, South Carolina with a double-major in Marketing & Management. He obtained a minor in Sport & Entertainment Management, as well. Jesse is also equipped with the CFP(R) in addition to Series 7, 63, & 65 licenses. Jesse is currently employed as a Financial Advisor at The Vanguard Group. As a Financial Advisor for The Vanguard Group’s retail clients, Jesse focuses on assisting clients through utilizing the financial planning process. The ultimate goal is to provide accurate advice for each client’s unique situation in order to help them achieve their goals. While serving in the role of Personal Investor at The Vanguard Group, Jesse focused on helping clients with questions surrounding financial topics with a focus in investments. This included assessing client’s financial situations and goals, as well as assisting with clerical and monetary transactions. As a Project Consultant, Jesse's main scope of work involved connecting homeowners seeking home improvement with the brand of Sears Home Services. Inside of this scope, he looked to help homeowners to invest in their home using Sears as their means of home improvement; this was mainly done through avenues of product, value, and installation. As a Marketing Intern for one of the largest locally-owned engineering businesses in South Carolina (Dennis Corporation), Jesse assisted in creating and professionally delivering proposals to potential clients, who have sent an RFQ or RFP, as well as assisting in responding to clients who may have a wide variety of needs. As a Sales Associate, Jesse performed several duties inside and outside of the traditional role of "Sell Merchandise". In addition to this role, he assisted in several store moves in Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina, created eye-catching displays to help with gaining customer attention, and, perhaps most importantly, created relationships with customers of numerous backgrounds who came in the store.
