About Jesse Williams

I am responsible for leveraging technology to create efficiencies, analyzing large amounts of data to produce executive-level reports, and overseeing audit and exam processes. My ability to utilize technology goes far beyond simple Excel spreadsheets. I understand the theory behind code so I can learn new systems and programs in a short amount of time. Since I understand the principles of SQL, I am able to quickly learn database programs such as Cognos and Crystal Reports. Since I understand Visual Basic, I am able to write advanced macros in Excel and ASP webpages that save hours or even days on everyday tasks. My analytical skills have been honed by years of working with large volumes of data, commonly referred to as “big data.” I use my understanding of technology to gather, organize, and sort data, but this is often just the first step. From the data I am able to identify trends, distinguish opportunities, and make strategic recommendations regarding future business decisions. The executive team relies on me for in-depth analysis, my unique point of view, effective ideas, and creative solutions. My oversight of bank audits and involvement in regulatory exams has resulted in fewer findings, decreased audit/exam duration, and improved relations with auditors and examiners. I am very familiar with accounting procedures (GAAP, ASC) and regulatory guidance (FDIC, FRB), which I use to research complex issues. Using these sources I am able to redesign complicated systems such as the allowance for loan and lease losses accounting and interest rate risk reporting (IRR).
