About Jessi Lemay

I am a photographer and videographer intensely curious about the world, the people who reside here, and the stories they create. Every morning I wake up and cannot believe this charmed life I live where I get to document and tell the stories of the impactful work being done at DRI and the fascinating individuals behind the environmental research being conducted around the globe. Trust me, it's a dream position. Community engagement is my JAM. Nearly a decade ago, I started a small live-storytelling event called The Folk & The Lore. Today, the Science Distilled lecture series, in partnership with The Discovery Museum, is an event that I am proud to take on in my position here at DRI. I am a big idea person. If you like to ideate over a beverage or bite, I'm your girl. I want to know more about what you think is possible. Let's spiral into a conversation of what-ifs and what could be! Finally, I have said it many times and it remains my mantra: when you know your neighbor's story, you are more connected to your community, and those stories will become your own lore.
