About Jessica Bailey

I am currently an Idaho State Certified Teacher (K-8) and hold a Professional License (K-8) for the Seventh-day Adventist Denomination. I teach in a small school, grades K-8, with a big heart for educating the mind, body, and soul of every child. Whether I am at home, school, or church I am passionate about creating learning experiences that are meaningful, and I am especially interested in leading my children and my students to know the God of love. My skills and my goals are focused on helping students discover the keys to being a life-long learner and preparing them to be responsible service oriented citizens. Mistakes and failures are invitations to "try again". Students get to celebrate success when learning goals or behavior goals are reached. Teaching allows me to come alongside young people who are eager to uncover the "Hows" and "Whys" of life and introduce them to the Source of wisdom and creation. Nature hikes, cooking classes, guest experts, food bank service, Kindergarten reading buddies, and raising money for orphans were some of the best experiences we had 2017/18. I became a teacher because working with energetic and enthusiastic kids brings me joy and learning alongside my students opens my eyes to the wonders of life big and small. When I am not teaching I still enjoy exploring nature, friendships, food, worship, good books, and rowdy board games. Variety is key!
