About Jessica Chyc
I was called to the Ontario Bar in May 2020. My approach to family law is founded on communication and trust. I seek to resolve complicated family law disputes through alternative dispute resolution methods and Collaborative Family Law processes. My practice has grown to include wills and residential real estate. I obtained my Juris Doctor from Western University’s Faculty of Law in 2019. During my studies, I was a caseworker on the Family Law Team at Community Legal Services, and a volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada. Prior to commencing law school, I graduated on the Dean’s Honour List with high distinction from the University of Guelph, where I earned a double major in Sociology and Criminal Justice/Public Policy. As an undergraduate, I enjoyed volunteering with the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, as well as, assisting community based organizations aimed at alleviating food insecurity. I am proud to have grown up in Dorchester, Ontario and I enjoy spending my spare time with my husband, son, and our dog, Athena.
