About Jessica Cornwall

I have many different interests. I have previously been a member of The Criterion Theatre, Coventry, and enjoyed being involved in all aspects of the theatre and its roles. As well as having been a member of Rock Choir, Coventry, I have previously been a member of the Coventry Savoy Opera Society and the Warwick University Gaudeamus Ladies Vocal Group. I was also part of the Coventry Cathedral Girls Choir for 4 years, and before I left, I was given the position Head Chorister. I have helped to teach younger children dancing and singing through the dance academy I attended. I was a school prefect, I have taken piano lessons, and I enjoy cooking for my family and reading. My current place of work is at Hermes, where I work nights, where my main role is Parcel Sorting, but i have also trained up new starters on our new handheld scanner. Previous places of work include The Cottage, Earlsdon, as a commis Chef, where I learnt to cook handmade pizzas, from scratch in a stone pizza oven; and at The Cricketers in Leamington Spa, as a Chef from March to September 2019. Before that, I have held various positions within various companies, such as Crossroads Care Coventry and Warwickshire as an Administration Assistant (this was a 4 month, temporary contract for 30 hours a week) before going to Aareon UK, based in Kenilworth, as their Receptionist and later adding multiple Administration duties to my role. I held this role since from September 2014 through to August 2018, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and through it I realised my interest in looking to eventually move into event organising and hopefully management. I then worked as a Machine Operative for Amtico UK from August 2018 to March 2019, leaving only due to a reduction in workforce needed. I am a quick learner and work well as a team member as well as independently. I look to gain more experience and skills in work that I am familiar with, as well as to help me become more independent in life at home and in work, and to look to be able to afford my own place to live. I am looking at putting myself through an online wedding planner course as this is the direction that I am hoping to eventually move into going forward, as well as events in general. To help, i am looking at putting myself through an online wedding planning course, as this will give me a greater knowledge base in the events planning industry
