Background

About Jessica Devine W.

I am a multi-hyphenate designer with a flair for combining business acumen and creativity. Gifted in all-things-visual. Skilled in all-things-operational. Specialized in all-things-fashion-and-objects. My strengths are creative versatility, an ability to see the "big picture," and leadership. A diversity of professional experiences has made me adept at learning whatever needs to be learned, identifying areas of improvement for process and workflow, and then figuring out how to make it happen. I have worked with artists, athletes, engineers, lawyers, scientists, builders, musicians, social workers, and more. Communicating with such an array of folks from different industries, backgrounds, and cultures, informs how I approach leadership and collaboration. In a working environment, I value organization, transparency, respectful communication, and celebrating contributions. I love a laugh-to-keep-from-crying approach to high-stress situations. Currently, I am developing Squamata Shop, a boutique I founded. Initially a pop-up and online shop, I am transitioning to hosting private shopping events in a small storefront (very exciting!). For the past few months, I've been staging the shop and prepping my garment and object collection. I'm looking for a part-time role in (or adjacent to) art, design, and fabrication in the East Bay, as well as freelance costuming and wardrobe opportunities.
