About Jessica e Dyer

Cultural Manager at Brixton BID, I hold a BA in Fine Art Sculpture from Brighton University and MA in Critical Writing in Art & Design from the Royal College of Art. I am passionate about art, creativity and culture and looks to instil these values at the heart of my practice. Before joining the BID, I worked as a freelance creative and workshop lead, supporting people of all ages to connect with their innate creativity. In my six years at Brixton Business Improvement District, I have led on the new brand for the organisation, the seminal Brixton X Harlem twinning and subsequent prize-winning festival. In addition, I have created a robust year-round activation programme and grown the marketing of members, through the production of engaging content across diverse business sectors. Having grown up in Brixton, I am enthusiastic about place-based activations that speak to the local community and heritage, while championing the incredible local businesses in my hometown. I chair The BID Foundation (TBF) Place Marketing Group, part of the Association of Town and City Management (ATCM).
