About Jessica Hum
Jessica (she/her) is Chinese/Ojibway, an Anishinaabekwe, and proud member of the Chippewas of the Nawash Unceded First Nation. In 2021, Jessica founded Talking Circle consultants to focus on facilitating the exchange of stories for more fair, equitable and just relationships on this land. Talking Circle collaborators leads with shared values in land-relationship planning. We offer professional planning services with a focus on Indigenous-led solutions for climate resilience, grounded in the exchange of stories, teachings, and intergenerational learning. By embracing decolonizing research methodologies, we contribute to climate change adaptation and honour the stewardship principles that guide our projects. My role as an Indigenous Planner brings together interpersonal communication skills and environmental planning expertise. We are dedicated to working in energetically sustainable business model with our clients, community members, allies and partners.
