About Jessica Joelson

Hi! I’m Jessica Joelson, a finance turned sustainability professional with over 15 years of leadership and strategy experience. Previously the VP of Accounting & ESG at Measurabl Inc, I now provide fractional sustainability consulting services to a SMEs while completing my MBA in Sustainability. With a natural aptitude for process improvement, a deep-rooted desire to always do the right thing (hello CPA Ethics requirements!) and years of uncovering trends through data analysis, I have found that the world of sustainability is perfectly situated for my skill set: completing a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on sustainability in December 2025 from Colorado State University. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Accountancy from San Diego State University (SDSU), and a Sustainable Business Practices Certificate from University California San Diego (UCSD): I am a certified public accountant (CPA) in California and hold several professional sustainability accreditations, including FSA Credential through ISSB and LEED AP (Accredited Professional) through the US Green Building Council (USGBC). Currently earning my Greenhouse Gas Accounting Certificate through my MBA program: USGBC Green Homes Tour participant, educating the community on practical ways to achieve reductions in energy, water and waste in an existing residential building. Co-Chair of the 2021 Legacy Project in connection with Greenbuild International Conference and Expo. Workshop host for water conservation and reclamation practices: mentoring students and young professionals and delivering sustainability insights webinars. I have also held several board positions in non-profit organizations. Most recently, I authored a children's book focused on sustainability and teamwork, hoping to root a sustainability mindset in the next generation. & : Dean’s list recipient and cum laude graduate for academic excellence.
