About Jessica Malone

I graduated from Bastyr University in June 2020 with a Master’s Degree in nutrition. There, my education surrounded evidence-based nutrition science, therapeutic culinary design, dietary chronic disease management, and behavior change psychology. After graduating, I received my Certified Nutritionist credential from the Washington State Department of Health, and spent a year of pandemic shutdowns educating myself on website design, social media marketing, and SEO content writing. It lead me to some contracted work developing recipes, writing research-centered nutrition articles, and SEO practices, but my journey into nutrition did not stop there. In the fall of 2021, I returned to school at San Diego State University to pursue my DPD Verification Statement in order to become a registered dietitian. I am currently in my dietetic internship at UC San Diego Health, gaining valuable experience and skills to enter the field of dietetics. With my passion for nutrition for wellness (and for counteracting "diet culture"), I hope to use my expertise to promote nutrition in a responsible and helpful way.
