About Jessica Paine

With over 17 years of nursing experience, I am currently the Assistant Nurse Manager at Backus Hospital, a 50-bed emergency department and trauma center that serves a diverse population Eastern CT. I oversee the daily operations, staff development, quality improvement, and patient satisfaction of the department, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. I also have a strong background and interest in organ donation and transplantation, having worked as a donation coordinator and a clinical specialist for five years. I managed the evaluation, allocation, and recovery of organs from potential donors, as well as trained and supported other healthcare professionals in using medical devices for organ preservation. I am committed to saving and enhancing lives through organ donation and education.
