About Jessica Powell

I am an education professional dedicated to strengthening teacher preparation and supporting student success. In my role with the Educator Preparation Program at the University of North Texas, I oversee the TExES Success Office, where I partner with students, faculty, and leadership to ensure candidates are well-prepared to complete state certification exams. I provide individualized study plans, facilitate workshops, and coach students on strategies for exam readiness and managing test anxiety. Alongside direct student support, I contribute to compliance and reporting efforts with the Texas Education Agency and collaborate with colleagues across the College of Education to improve processes and outcomes. My work combines creativity, data-informed decision making, and a passion for helping others achieve their goals. I thrive on building systems that empower future educators and continuously look for ways to enhance both candidate success and program effectiveness.
