About Jessica Tweddle

I am currently a trainee teacher with Durham SCITT specialising in Geography at secondary school level. I have almost completed my time at my first placement school (Parkside Academy) and I am looking forward to continuing my teaching journey at Wolsingham school (Placement B) in January. I graduated from the University of Northampton in July 2021, obtaining a first class degree in BSc (Hons) Geography. I have always aspired to work within the educational sector and i have a profound interest in weather and climate which was the subject base to my dissertation in which i received a first for the thesis. I have acquired four England caps (2016-2019) for the England international fly fishing team (Youth and senior-level) which has allowed me to obtain essential teamwork and adaptability skills. I also have 4 years of experience within the retail sector, where I work as a customer sales assistant for the co-operative group, alongside my studies. During my time at university i also gained work experience within various local educational authorities and schools in the surrounding area of Northampton to boost my experience in the education sector and enhance my application.
