About Jessica Whims

In college, I worked inside a hospital and fell in love with the energy of so many people dedicated to the same purpose. This inspired me to pursue a career (and life) which focuses on the greater good. More than 10 years ago, I landed at UnitedHealth Group to follow this focus. In my current role, I communicate the most pressing pharmacy-related news and latest OptumRx solutions directly to our clients’ inboxes, lead the team’s content marketing efforts from ideation through execution to deployment, and oversee our digital marketing campaigns. Focused on using my talents, I shine brightest when expressing creativity through my work — whether it is devising new ideas, crafting the right message for the target audience, or designing for visual appeal. My marketing and communication skills are balanced with an eye for detail and a mind for big-picture strategies. I thrive in team-oriented environments where relationships, collaboration and conversation are key to making things happen. One of my team members said, “Jessica shines in her role, she's great to work with and driven to do her best work.” After a long journey to motherhood, I love spending time with my husband, two kids, and two fur babies. When I’m not with them, you can find me with my friends at one of our local wineries or trying a new restaurant.
