About Jessica Wood

I graduated in 2021 with my Associates degree in applied science for mechanical engineering technology. I achieved multiple certifications and was also a member of The Honor Society and invited to be a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success. I worked in the grocery industry for 6 years. I started as a cashier, became a trainer, was promoted to a supervisor and stayed in the position for 4 years until I resigned. I learned many skills including multitasking, organization, and adapting quickly to different situations. I worked closely with my direct superiors as well as company leaders. I was given large responsibilities that I was in charge of completing daily or weekly by myself. In my studies for my associates degree I worked in group settings for projects and presentations. I was in the top performing group for a truss designing and building competition as well as a trebuchet designing and building competition. I worked in a team to replicate an actuator used by NASA in fusion 360 and then making a model using a CNC machine.
