About Jessie Parrish

I am a climate expert who works at the forefront of solving the most urgent and complex challenge of our time. As a Project Manager Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at Curtin University, I leverage my passion and expertise in sustainability, data analysis, and climate change to expedite Curtin's SDG initiative, cultivate influential research, and facilitate a significant educational experience. With over 10 years of experience in the government, research, and industry sectors, I have a proven track record of delivering strategic, innovative, and diverse projects that make valuable contributions towards fostering a healthier and safer climate, having won national awards for research and engagement, and led teams and organisations to embrace a more sustainable future. In my current role, I have developed Curtin's first Sustainable Development Strategy and involved the Executive Team in planning for a sustainable future. I have also played a pivotal role in shaping Curtin's vision to bridge gaps, foster collaboration, and embed a focus on people and the planet throughout its operations. Outside my role at Curtin, I take a leadership position in establishing a climate resilient future for WA through my roles on Energy Policy WA Energy Expert Consumer Panel, the board of Conservation Council WA. My mission is to drive positive change and impact through evidence-based solutions and stakeholder engagement.
