About Jesus G.

Hi, my name is Jesus GonzalezIm a fourth-year Civil Engineering student set to graduate May 2022LA County Native, with a passion and a dream for working in construction in and out of the office for a major construction engineering company. I used to work in a grocery market as a deli shift lead, cashier, and courtesy clerk where I assisted 100+ customers a day. Day to day tasks included but were not limited to managing inventory products, training new employees, assisting any departments that were short staffed. I worked as a drafter for a lighting manufacturer. My work consisted of developing shop drawings, designing parts, creating various types of instructions and other tasks that presented themselves on a day to day basis. I have been a proud and active member of the Society of Hispanic Engineers (SHPE) for multiple years for the Mt. San Antonio College chapter and the Cal Poly Pomona chapter. As for my future, I hope to one day work as a Civil Engineer in the construction industry. I hope to be able to work in a professional and creative environment with a diverse group of people. In my free time, you can find me creating all types of art, hiking and exercising with friends, and learning about personal growth. A few of my strength include: Working in a fast paced environment, learning and using multiple software (Microsoft office, engineering programs, ect.), and being able to work in a team and individually with little to no supervision.
