About Jesus Rocha

I was born and raised in Dallas, TX, as a Hispanic native from Mexican immigrant parents; growing up, I always saw things I didn’t like. When I ask why things are they are right now, they often respond that’s how the lawmakers up in the White House made it, and if I wanted to see change, I would have to do it myself. Ever since those words came to me, I have always been changing the world, not only for me but for others as well. Working up the corporate and status ladder, I plan to change the world for the better. I love helping people no matter when or how; assisting people in any capacity is something I have always been passionate about. Ever since I was a teenager, I have always enjoyed politics and had a fondness for Criminal Justice. This leads me to have the opportunity to help people in the political and criminal justice world as an attorney. I plan to go to law school and use my law license to provide constructive criticism and important feedback. I enjoy traveling across the nation to meet new people who allow me to create everlasting bonds. By primarily going to Austin, TX, I can advocate on behalf of the students of higher education. By attending law school, I have utilized and learned the necessary skills to impact the younger generation in a way that I would’ve liked. I am passionate about both speaking up for those who cannot do so for themselves as well as educating them about their rights. I have an associate’s degree with a field of study in political science. I intend to use this degree to expand and start the foundation of my political knowledge to elaborate on the current political state of the world to others. I plan to inform, educate, and report various policies and government issues regarding our democracy, from federal to state to local legislation. I am currently working on a bachelor’s degree with a field of study in criminal justice. I plan to use this degree to expand on my previous knowledge from my previous institution. By having a political science foundation, the criminal justice bachelor's degree will allow me to learn more and better help those less fortunate. I love to work as a team rather than individually. If I could, I definitely would call myself a social butterfly. I enjoy being part of my community and helping on external and internal levels that would advance and prepare me for new challenging activities.
