About Jeswin Joy

As a resident physician at Howard University Hospital, I am passionate about providing compassionate and patient-centered care to a diverse and underserved population in Washington, DC. I have been in this role since June 2021, after completing my medical degree at Father Muller Medical College in India, where I learned the fundamentals of medicine and developed a global perspective on healthcare. My current training focuses on internal medicine, where I apply my skills in electronic medical record (EMR), public policy, and international health to diagnose, treat, and manage various acute and chronic conditions. I also participate in medical research and education, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in my field. My previous experience as a graduate research assistant at Northwell Health and a private tutor at PRACTICE Benefit Corp enhanced my research, teaching, and communication skills. I am driven by a deep-seated desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and the well-being of our global community.
