After 2 years as capital markets analyst in a German private bank, started the career at Henkel Corporate Treasury. First 5 years in various roles in front and middle office covering broad range of treasury activities: FX management, liquidity and cash management, pension management, management reporting, capital markets etc. Developed CFO reporting, contributed to capital market projects like revolving credit facility, bond issuance. Covered FX hedging and group’s liquidity allocation between various instruments in normal times as well as during financing of acquisitions. Since Jan 2015 reallocated to Shanghai as Head of APAC treasury. Introduced FX hedging and cross border cash pool in China, triggered repatriation of significant cash amounts to HQ thus protecting company’s cash from FX devaluation. Standardized regional reporting. Developed BAD guideline and treasury compliance database that is taken over as best practice by other regions. Successfully managed crisis situations like cross border cash restrictions in China or change to local currency transactions in Indonesia. Introduced new investment instruments (e.g. MMF). Successfully accomplished several integration projects. Developed strong local team. Since Jan 2018 switched to the business side as Head of Controlling for General Adhesives. Extended the role with Consumer/Construction Segment since July 19. The team is covering for broad universe of tasks: monthly P&L analysis and forecasting, annual sales and budget planning, acquisitions and divestments, driving various special projects on both cost and sales side to sharpen the strategy together with the business head, improve profitability and strengthen the business in long-term perspective.
