About Jiaduo Xing

I am an undergraduate Electrical Engineering student at McGill University, pursuing minors in Software Engineering and Applied Artificial Intelligence, with an expected graduation in May 2027. My academic and professional interests center on semiconductor design, computing systems, and applied innovation in engineering. In recognition of my academic excellence and research potential, I was awarded the ReSMiQ Undergraduate Research Scholarship in October 2022. Since then, I have actively combined research, industry experience, and student leadership to strengthen both my technical foundation and collaborative skills. I am currently completing a 16-month Design Engineer Internship at AMD (May 2025 – Aug 2026), where I am gaining hands-on experience in semiconductor design projects and learning from a diverse team of engineers while contributing to impactful large-scale projects in the industry. I am motivated by challenges that require both hardware and software expertise and passionate about exploring how emerging technologies can drive innovation in engineering and industry.
