About Jiale Sun

I am an M.S. student in Operations Research at Columbia University with undergraduate degrees in Data Science and Economics at the University of California Berkeley. In my personal life, I really like extreme sports, such as bungee jumping, and skydiving. For me, extreme sports are really good ways to challenge yourself and learn how to deal with fear. I also love to travel. I circumnavigated around the world more than 20 countries. I am looking for job opportunities for data analyst or product manager. A few key points that I hope will highlight my advantages to the related positions' responsibilities: • After four years of undergraduate study, I have become proficient in using data processing tools such as SQL, R, and Python, and can use these data analysis skills, such as modeling, visualization, data management, cleaning, mining, and wrangling, well in practical work. For instance, I accomplished a smart retail business analysis project and interned at the Quantitative Strategy Research Department of Huaxi Futures to develop and optimize some trading models. • Also, I once led the team to participate in the Meituan Business Analysis Elite Competition and won the top ten in the world. In this competition, we put forward a strategic analysis of the location and operation of bars in Chengdu, China. At the same time, we designed a bar operation diagnostic assistant app. The results of this competition reflect my strong product design and project management capabilities.
