About Jiaming Li

I am currently an Assistant Teaching Professor at Northern Arizona University, School of Informatics, Computing, and Cyber Systems. My research interests include acoustics and vibration, AI applications in engineering, optimal design, data analysis and visualization, and information systems. The courses I am teaching includes computer & information technology, data analytics, project management, and mobile and web applications. Before Joining NAU, I've accumulated many years of teaching experience at the Rutgers School of Engineering and Business School, earning high student ratings. As a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a robust blend of teaching, research, and industry experience. My expertise spans a wide range of subjects, including acoustic sound reduction, CAD & CFD, optimal design, data science, AI & ML, thermodynamics, and control systems. My research contributions encompass areas such as acoustic models, thermal packaging design, 3D printing, plastic injection molding optimization, and the development of Piezoelectric Spring Stator Ultrasonic Motors. Professionally, I've held positions as a Seismic Imaging Analyst at CGG, a Packaging Lab Testing Engineer at Rutgers, and an Intern Product Engineer at WABCO. Additionally, I'm the founder of TastyBite Foods Company.
