In the early days of school and college I was fortunate enough to have great teachers and also my father who was a man of principles. Taking inspiration from them and from many situations, I developed a few principles of my life. It is my pleasure to share some of them here. Value a Person: Coming from a financially modest family in Mumbai’s suburb, in early life itself I learned that even when a person does not have enough resources, everything works out well when one has “Relationships”. And this focus continued in my long stint in information technology. Relationships are built on Trust and trust is built in a long haul with small events and empathy and selflessness. Focus On Maintenance: It needs thinking, perseverance and yes it costs - This is applicable to relationships, appliances, houses, financial assets, skills and also IT systems. An upfront investment and focus towards it always saves future frustrations Do what is Right(and not easy) – As they say when you have a choice there is an easy path and there is a right path. Doing what is right is something i always choose. Adapt and Reskill -My entire primary and secondary education was in Marathi medium, university was in English and there was a first lesson about adaptation and reskilling. My first project in IT was in As/400 and from there on I worked in various technologies reskilling myself throughout the journey
