About Jigyasa Sachdeva

My name is Jigyasa and I am second year MBA Co-op Candidate at DeGroote School of Business. With my desire to move from Pharma to Finance, I’ve been able to take up roles during my internships that enhance both my skills and experience. With a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from University of Victoria (UVic), I have had the opportunity to build a diverse skill set and learn from the best. While being a student I have worked towards strengthening my leadership and communication skills by actively volunteering with community based program like UVic Connect program and UVic Student leadership program. I believe that my perseverance, curiosity, and positivity make me the ideal person you want on your team. These core values have helped in shaping the person I am today and how I go about life. Perseverance touches on how no challenge is ever too big; I don’t give up when the going gets tough. If you fail, you take it as a learning experience. Curiosity is another core value as, I believe, that being curious promotes learning and growth in every aspect of your life. I am always inclined to understand the “why” instead of the “how” and I have made it my goal to embrace this curious mindset in everything I do. Leading with positivity is a choice which I always take. I believe in the power of a positive mindset in order to overcome any setbacks we might experience and this attitude has always helped me out in every aspect of life. My professional journey is as diverse as my interests. From fundraising, where I've not only been a caller but also a supervisor, to conducting research in on-campus labs, and providing exceptional customer service and retail experiences, I've traversed a wide spectrum of roles. 🧠 I'm a lifelong learner. Currently, I'm immersing myself in Python through Harvardx and actively pursuing the Google Project Management Certificate to augment my skills and knowledge.
