GENERAL I am a journalist of 25-plus years whose clients include everyone from national print publications and online news outlets to digital marketing agencies and Fortune 500 companies. WRITING My work has appeared in hundreds of print and online publications, including CNN, GOOD HOUSEKEEPING, HGTV, and WOMAN'S DAY. I specialize in writing about lifestyle and travel topics, but over the years, I have covered everything under the sun, including the arts, entertainment, health, beauty, business, sports, food, home improvement, pets, design, money, and education. Profiles are my forte, and over the years, I have had the opportunity to interview high-ranking CEOs, Grammy-winning musicians, presidents of major universities, news-making entrepreneurs, nationally acclaimed restaurateurs, real estate moguls, major fashion designers, and, often most interestingly, the guy and the gal next door. Because everyone has an interesting story to tell. EDITING Prior to becoming a full-time freelancer, I held longtime editor positions at TEXAS MONTHLY (an award-winning regional publication) and AMERICAN WAY (the inflight magazine of American Airlines), and was the editor of GROUP TRAVEL PLANET (a travel trade magazine). As a contractor, I served as the editor-in-chief of SIMPLY BUCKHEAD (a general interest magazine distributed to more than households throughout Atlanta), NW GEORGIA LIVING (a regional print and online publication), and sister magazines COASTAL LIFESTYLE and COASTAL PALATE (both regional print magazines), and at times, the editor and managing editor for all of ATLANTA BEST MEDIA's various publications. OTHER I also do copyediting and proofreading for clients big and small, whether it's a simple one-page letter, 100-page annual report, or 300-page book. In addition, I create custom publications for clients, including email newsletters, flyers, brochures, catalogs, calendars, and mini magazines.
