About Jill Crompton

Over 15 years of experience working in elite sport with more than 7 years dedicated to leading and developing performance support teams to deliver at their best in order to provide world class support to GB elite athletes. I bring a performance focus with a people first approach and have a strong philosophy around the power of 'team' and what a team can achieve with great people and the right environment. I underpin this philosophy with coaching and mentoring skills, a powerful tool in the development and empowerment of individuals and teams. Bringing a focus on building key relationships within the sports and the wider sporting system, sharing experiences to enhance skills and build upon performance, influencing system leaders and key stakeholders, and supporting a positive performance culture, allowing all to thrive. Previous roles have been in Physiotherapy, delivering to elite athletes for over 15 years including at the Paralympic Games and multiple World and European Championships. I have a real passion for Paralympic sport, an arena that supports inclusion and inspiration at its finest, utilising skills and a desire for complex problem solving and delivering under pressure. I delivered a lead physiotherapy role for GB Para Table Tennis from 2009 -2017 bringing a wider athlete health approach in collaboration with the SLT, ensuring world class standards in health and performance.I have a level 7 qualification through ILM in executive coaching and mentoring, I have also undergone a 2 year in-house leadership programme at the UKSI. Other formal qualifications include an MSc in Sports Injury Rehabilitation and a BSc in Physiotherapy.
