Background

About Jill Kiley

I have been a teacher at The Halifax Grammar School for almost 16 years. During this time, I have developed my teaching skills with mostly middle schoolers, and I have used the most up to date research, including my own, to help guide my instruction (M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction). I also coach Soccer and Track & Field, which I am passionate about. I have a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification (Buddhi Yoga, San Diego, California) to my professional skills. I also have a Category 2 MYP PHE Training Certification. I am a lifelong learner who is passionate about building relationships with my colleagues, students, and athletes. Once the relationship is built and nurtured, anything is possible. My next goal is to dive deeper into UDL and inquiry based learning to further support my teaching practices within the IB Middle Years Programme.
