About Jill L. Smith

For the past 25 years, I have worked across industries in a variety of roles. In these roles, I learned valuable tools and concepts that I have been able to use and build upon in each new position I have taken. My years in customer service were spent in positions that involved helping customers problem-solve, understand processes and procedures, and be connected to other departments for specialized assistance. Through those endeavors I learned a little bit about every department and its operations and used that knowledge to develop a versatile skill set and better guide customers along the retail experience. In my recent positions with the brand Glee Gum, that skill set has allowed me to step into an operational role, providing insight, guidance, and management of departments beyond customer interaction. This has led to success in saving the company money and making its internal processes and operations more efficient. Being a well-rounded person who’s great at recognizing patterns, I can apply my knowledge of local, national, and international news, current market conditions, and shopper profiles to my positions within the company and the way we present ourselves to customers at all levels. And on top of that, my degree in psychology and creative writing means I have been trained to understand people and how to market to them. I can create meaningful email and website content, sales flyers, PowerPoint presentations, and more, that include a wealth of knowledge, tailored to the consumer, retailer, or distributor.
