Nationally recognized leader in the field of public art known for curatorial acumen, entrepreneurial skill, master planning, project management and track record in building relationships and partnerships across government, art, design and development sectors. Past roles at the SF Arts Commission include Director of Programs and Director of Public Art. Author of the Treasure Island Arts Master Plan which establishes a framework for the implementation of a $50 million art program over the next twenty years and is the result of her success in re-purposing funds ear-marked for art at the private development site to be used exclusively to benefit the public realm. Composed legislation to establish San Francisco's Public Art Trust which provides greater options for developers relative to their 1% for art requirement; Designed the Art on Market and StreetSmARTS Programs; Initiated temporary sculpture program in San Francisco featuring artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Keith Haring, Zhang Huan, David Best, Zak Ove, Patrick Dougherty among others. Manages cultural collaborations with the various foreign embassies associated with SF's Sister City Program. Recipient of the City Managerial Excellence Award, a Rockefeller Foundation Grant for a residency at the Bellagio Center in Italy, is a past elected Chair of the national Public Art Network and serves on the Advisory Board for the Public Art Review magazine. She has raised over $72.5 M for various art initiatives and new programs. Past consultancies with SFMOMA and Rainin Foundation.
