About Jill Ogilvy

I have over 30 years' experience as arts practitioner with 20 years in art education and as workshop leader. In addition, I have been working as Art Therapist helping children and young people in education through the Integrative Arts. I have maintained a small private practice for some years, working mostly with children and young people and I provide clinical supervision, with training and support for teachers. My areas of interest include arts & health, trauma, autism, identity issues, complex and special needs. I also combine my therapy and art-making skills to provide mentoring and coaching for artists. My painting practice is concerned with a sense of identity and relationship, represented by jugs and containers. I also make paintings in response to a sense of place. I generally work in oil paint but also like to use water-based mixed media, collage and a range of printmaking techniques. My work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in the UK, USA, France and Italy. I am currently represented by the Eye Contemporary Art Gallery and have exhibited with the Royal Society of British Artists in London.
