About Jill Purdy

I thrive in fast-paced environments and value collaboration, curiosity and change. In my current role as Manager, Strategic External Content for SAIT Corporate Communications, I often lead and create and other times support and advise. In either scenario, the work I do protects and enhances the institution’s reputation. More specifically, I am the strategy and voice leading SAIT’s institutional and organic social media accounts. My role requires coaching and developing employees who communicate about or on behalf of the organization on social media. I have learned coordination and collaboration is critical, ensuring SAIT’s brand is clear and consistent. My trust-based approach is built on the understanding people want to know you care before they care what you know. Every day is different in my role — exactly how I like it! Outside of digital communications, I develop informed and strategic counsel based on a deep understanding of issues affecting SAIT stakeholders. I also have the opportunity to write and execute communications plans to help share information, goals and news with our various audiences.
