About Jill Russell

With over 25 years of experience in global health, governance, and human rights, I am passionate about reproductive and LGBTIQA+ rights around the world. As the Senior Director of Institutional Partnerships at the Center for Reproductive Rights, I lead a grant portfolio of $20M+ and ensure the organization has the knowledge, systems, support, and tools it needs to effectively mobilize and be good stewards of our donor resources. My work spans five regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the United States. I have a track record of leading strategy, fundraising, relationship management, finance, and high-team performance at the executive level. I have strong leadership and management skills, fostering a culture of feedback and development to maximize performance. My robust managerial and leadership training is complemented by a rich, real-world understanding of the approaches, standards, and evolving good practices in international development programming, particularly complex programming that aims to achieve more equitable gender and health outcomes. I have worked on long-term assignments in over 20 countries and lived in the Dominican Republic, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. I hold a B.A. in Mathematics & Human Biology and two Master's degrees in Business Administration and in International Executive Management.
