About Jill Thornton

My passion is helping people to see new possibilities and to find meaning & purpose in their work. I believe that people are amazing, and they can do what might seem like the impossible every day, given the right environment & support. Over the last five years, I have used my experience within HR, People & Development and Transformational Change to support the launch and implementation of a global cultural transformation programme at Impellam Group plc. The programme enabled Impellam people to make a difference in building trust, creating stronger relationships, and improving experiences for their clients and candidates across the world, delivering significant results across a wide range of areas from collaboration and culture, to operational performance and margin growth. I also led the Performance & Development team, responsible for delivering developmental programmes to 16 specialist staffing and managed service brands, with a particular focus on creating a mood of curiosity and a love for lifelong learning. I think the ability to stay curious is a skill that needs to be cultivated, and the willingness to be agile is a necessity to prepare for a future world of work where we may all need to acquire new skills; for positions that don't exist today.
