About Jill Williams
Originally a Journalism major, I stumbled into layout design in my last quarter of college and never looked back. My Art History background made up for my lack of formal design training, and I basically learned everything on the fly and from the heart. Working for a small agency in the early years provided a wide variety of projects which nicely packed my portfolio and opened the door for many future opportunities. I began freelancing in 2014 and opened my own business in 2019. My clients range from small businesses and non-profits, creating branding, web, and display packages – to government agencies executing state-wide awareness campaigns – and EVERYTHING in between. My claim to fame is designing the Washington State Boaters License used by ALL Washington State licensed boaters! I also teach Graphic Design 110 at Pacific Luther University in Tacoma, Washington, and I delight when I see my students push themselves outside of their design comfort zones. I currently sit on the Board of Directors for Hope Opens Doors and Olympia Area Rowing.
