About Jillian Alexander

I currently work as a Property Paralegal (enroute to qualify as Solicitor) at Onward Homes Limited. My roles include; disposals, acquisitions, RTA/RTB transactions, shared ownership sales, securitisation, commercial leases, boundary issues and other property related matters. With a solid educational background with not just one but five degrees under my belt in the field of Sociology (BSc), Human Rights (MA) and Criminology (MSc), Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Legal Practice Postgraduate Course (LPC), I developed a passion in Human Rights and Modern Slavery which led to the formation of Unbound Programme. As a first responder volunteer I saw the gaps and felt the struggles and inequality faced by modern slavery survivors and due to my first hand experiences I was driven to create an avenue/programme where survivors can gain skills to rebuild their lives with dignity and independence. Unbound's mission is to raise awareness of modern slavery and empower survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity and independence. We are committed to accelerating employability and reducing dependency by providing the support, training and opportunities needed for a brighter future which aligns with the National Work and Skills Strategy which sets out how we will use learning and employment to meet such vision of being a more highly skilled country. I am passionate about property law and human rights. I believe in empowerment through voluntary work (sharing your skills and talents to target inequality).
