About Jillian Buchman

Currently, I am a graduate student in the MBA program at Kutztown University. I graduated in December 2023 with my Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. In my undergrad, I was captain of the Kutztown University Field Hockey Team which refined the skills of leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and communication. While on the team we won Kutztown University Athletic Department its first National Championship. I am currently the Game Management Graduate Assistant for the university's athletic department. Kutztown University's Sport Management program is accredited by the Commission of Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). Kutztown University offers a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management that allowed me to leap into both the business and managerial aspects of the field as well as the sport-focus. I have previously taken courses in but not limited to Accounting for Sport Management, Sport Public Relations and Communications, Sport Law, Sport Marketing, Sport Event and Facility Management, Personal Nutrition, and more. In my undergrad at Kutztown University I was a member of the field hockey team, secretary of the Sport Leisure and Management (SLAM) club on campus, and on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). I am currently in the MBA program at Kutztown University where I am expected to graduate in May 2025. While in school I am a graduate assistant in the athletic department. I am a game management intern that does promotions, operations, and athletic event work. My aspirations after graduation are to earn a role in the sports world whether that is with an organization, professional team, or an athletic department. Until then, I am currently finishing school where I will develop and sharpen the skills necessary to fit in the sports world.
