About Jillian Corson

I am currently a 3rd year student at Penn State pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance and a minor in economics. Although having a strong academic record is important to me, I am committed to possessing strong, ethical values which is why I am an active participant in the Smeal Ethical Leadership Challenge. This challenge allows me to experience different workshops that focus on key competencies of ethical leadership including Community, Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Discovery, and Excellence. I am able to practice these values and become a strong, ethical leader while being a student grader in the economics department at Penn State University, where I help the professor grade and mentor students. I have also gained valuable experience as a financial analyst intern at Baldwin Creek Partners, where I researched and evaluated potential investment opportunities, assisted in the deal-making process, and oversaw weekly team meetings. This internship gave me the opportunity to gain real-life experiences while learning more about the deal-making process, communicating with clients, and accurately creating excel spreadsheets of the deals. In addition to hoping to keep learning and making connections with people who share my strong ethical principles and dedication to excellence, I am excited to put my knowledge and abilities to use in helping the company I work for in the future.
