About Jillian Devine

I am a graduate of Texas Christian University, Class of 2025. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, University Honors, Departmental Honors, and Cum Laude. I was a part of both the Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences, as well as the John V. Roach Honors College. I'm a conscientious and highly motivated graduate nurse, with a diligent eye for detail. Over the course of my studies, I cultivated many clinical skills in a broad range care settings and specialties. My clinical experiences have also deepened my desire to provide compassionate, patient-centered care that promises a brighter and healthier future. I am known for my thorough and precise work ethic, which enables me to design thoughtful care plans, and to deliver care in an organized and efficient manner. I have also been commended for my communication skills, both with patients and other members of the interdisciplinary field. I have also been fortunate to work with patients of many different backgrounds and cultures which inspired my devotion to serve under-resourced populations. I am currently completing my Senior Honors Research Thesis on the impact of Food Farmacy interventions for food insecure individuals with diabetes. Through my role as a researcher and research intern, I have been able to work with an under-resourced population and connect them with resources to assist in managing chronic health conditions. Outside of my clinical and research experiences, I worked as a teacher’s assistant in the Biology Department at TCU. My experience as a TA has revealed my passion for education and helping my peers to success. It has also presented me with a great opportunity to be a leader and mentor for future nursing students. I believe that nurses, and healthcare professionals alike, have the opportunity to fight for happier and healthier rights for all of our patients by being an advocate and delivering quality care.
