About Jillian Hutton

I am a recent graduate from the Bachelor of Sciences Honors program at Queen’s University, with a major in Life Sciences. In conjunction with my bachelor’s degree, I have also been working towards completing a certificate in business from the Smith School of Business at Queen's, set for completion in July 2024.The Life Sciences program allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of basic and biomedical sciences. In my first two years of studies, my coursework focused on enhancing and exploring the foundations of Life Sciences, including biology, mathematics, physics, human physiology, human anatomy, organic chemistry, microbiology, and biochemistry. In my final two years of studies my coursework focused more on specific areas of interest and developing skills to apply academic knowledge to the industry, including cancer biology, human reproduction and development, pharmacology, neuroscience, and advanced research methodologies. During the business certificate, I have gained fundamental knowledge in critical business areas, completing coursework thus far in business introduction, financial accounting, organizational behavior, and marketing.My practical experience as a social media manager and marketing assistant at NaloxKit further enhanced my skill set by exposing me to the inner workings of business and the fundamentals of marketing. In this position, I spearheaded marketing research initiatives, crafted innovative marketing strategies, curated compelling social media content across diverse platforms, and contributed to the seamless execution of marketing campaigns.
