About Jillian Lawlor
A fourth-year Doctor of Audiology Extern and LEND fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital training to become a clinical audiologist. Her interests include audiology services across the lifespan, implantable hearing devices, telehealth services, and electrophysiological measurements of hearing sensitivity. Her capstone focused on using Ecological Momentary Assessments (EMA) to assess the hearing difficulties that aging adults may experience in everyday listening situations. As a graduate student, she was a research assistant for two academic years where she worked with a multiple-speaker test system that assessed spatial hearing abilities. She graduated from Elms college with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders with minored in Bioethics. She passed the Audiology Praxis Exam in May 2023 and is expected to graduate from the University of Massachusetts with her Doctor of Audiology in May 2024.
